General Practice
Family
Practice
A
family practitioner takes care of your entire family's needs.
This includes child care, adult care, and women's health. Most
of your everyday health care issues can be managed by a family
practitioner. If more specialized treatment or further evaluation
is necessary, proper referrals can be made.
Internal
Medicine
Internists
are doctors for adults. Internists are trained in all subspecialties
and therefore, all adult medical issues can first be discussed
with an internist. Their services include everything from general
preventive medicine to treatment of high blood pressure, diabetes,
cancer, heart disease, women's health, and others.
Pediatrics
Pediatrics
is a branch of medicine and is committed to the attainment of
optimal, physical, mental, and social health and well-being for
all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to age
21. The physiology of children varies with age; therefore treating
a child is not like treating miniature adult.
Obstetrics
and Gynecology
Obstetrics deals with pregnancy,
labor and delivery. Gynecology deals with all other women's health
care including breast and ovarian cancer, menstrual problems,
and menopause issues.
